Our Criminal Justice Social Work is involved in a number of strategic and planning groups that work across directorate boundaries and involve Community Planning Partners. This helps us achieve greatly in this area. We have the highest use of Restriction Of Liberty Orders in Scotland, the rate of Social Enquiry Reports has increased from approximately 850 per year five years ago to 1150 during the last year. There has also been a substantial increase in Throughcare, and a thriving joint initiative with the Police since September 2005 – including the VISOR Pilot scheme.
