We care about children's happiness

Our aim is to have socially inclusive, integrated services which promote the well being of our children and young people, while making full use of local multi-agency child protection arrangements. So we’ve outlined key actions to help us achieve our strategic outcomes and deliver change for Children’s Services. This means implementing effective local multi-agency child protection arrangements – including a Children’s Charter and Framework of Standards – information sharing and guidance for Child Protection Committees established through a Child Protection Committee Business Plan.

Recently, we successfully applied for Community Regeneration Funding to support the creation of Young People's Home Link Workers who work with young people leaving care. Here, young people are consulted in regional and national discussions on topics affecting them and they are given on-going support to establish and maintain productive and happy lives.
