We care about including everyone

Providing care, support and protection for people in our community who are vulnerable because of age, disability, poor mental health, addiction or homelessness, we constantly work to achieve the Joint Improvement Targets agreed with the Scottish Executive. This means developing Joint Future services, providing services that support the role of families, relatives and informal carers and implementing Inter-Agency Procedures for Protection of Vulnerable Adults.

We have one of the highest levels in Scotland of intensive home care service, which enables greater numbers of older people under our care to stay in their own homes, and still receive the support they need. Our structure includes community-based teams across Dumfries and Galloway, as well as a team based at Dumfries General Royal Infirmary.
